Mission:
Develop and implement quality educational programs, products and services of benefit to Chamber members.
Goals:
- Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan which includes the roll-out of the Chamber’s identity (in relation to the new strategic plan). Market the Chamber and its advantages to retain and increase members.
- Develop, implement and oversee a major membership/marketing campaign to communicate the Chamber’s missions and goals, and benefits of becoming or remaining a Chamber member.
- Increase membership sales.
Action Plans:
Marketing
- Increase communication with local and regional media via media releases.
- Increase promotion of member businesses via Chamber publications and services.
- Enhance communications with members through the newsletter, media releases, web site, marketing flyers, email and broadcast faxes.
- Produce professional and effective marketing materials that promote the Chamber and its products and services.
- Encourage trade among members by promoting the "Member Advantage" member-to-member discount program.
- Promote the Internet and educate members on recent advancements, changes and the numerous benefits of the Internet through featured newsletter articles, flyers, ads.
- Develop new opportunities for member special events and networking to provide members with a forum to meet potential customers, make vital contacts and learn from their association with other successful professionals.
- Continue and improve on: monthly ABOs, Annual Golf Outing,
Steak Roast,
Salute to Government, Secretaries’ Luncheon, etc.
Membership Development/Membership Services
- Develop and implement new benefits and services for members.
- Develop and implement member educational programs.
- Develop, implement and maintain a program to encourage existing and new members to become involved in the Chamber’s leadership process by serving on committees.
- Direct the activities of membership and advertising sales reps to obtain optimum sales and retention efforts.
