Mission:
Implement and monitor the organization’s strategic plan.
Goals:
- Implement and manage the strategic plan and monitor goal accomplishments. Develop an ongoing reporting system to the Board. Revise strategic plan goals and action plans annually as necessary (with Board approval).
- Ensure proper control and allocation of resources to fund quality staffing and ongoing operations and programs of the Chamber.
- Manage internal operations and support the work of staff and volunteers by providing the necessary resources, tools, information, and other assistance necessary to meet objectives.
Action Plans:
- Develop and implement a "Volunteer Leadership Handbook/Program of Work" for Board and committee volunteers.
- Develop and implement an orientation session for all existing and new volunteers on their roles and responsibilities as Board or committee volunteers, as well as "who to go to for what" internally and externally for support in accomplishing goals.
- Develop and maintain a positive internal team work environment which will result in empowered staff and increased morale, production and quality in pursuit of organizational objectives.
- Develop, implement and maintain a formal internal human resources system putting in place ongoing programs for staff training and development, an evaluation process for staff based on the highest performance and quality standards, and internal processes to support the work of staff and volunteers by providing the necessary resources, tools, information, and other assistance necessary to meet objectives.
- Develop an internal program to increase customer service measures for members.
